Psychotherapist
300 Cadman Plz W, FL 12, Brooklyn, NY
I support high-achieving adults as well as first-generation and BIPOC professionals in healing from trauma, anxiety, and burnout through affirming, trauma-focused care. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor trained in EMDR, I specialize in helping those who are often “the strong one” create space to feel, reflect, and reconnect—with themselves and their purpose. I primarily work with private-pay clients seeking high-quality, personalized therapy that isn’t limited by insurance constraints. Still, I am in-network with a limited insurance panels. Our work will be collaborative, flexible, and paced with intention—so that discomfort becomes a space for growth, never a threat to your emotional safety.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is affirming, relational, and trauma-informed. I honor all parts of your identity and offer a space where you don’t have to shrink, explain, or hide. Therapy is where your lived experience is seen and centered. I will gently invite you to explore the discomfort that often comes with growth—but never at the expense of your emotional safety. Together, we’ll move at a pace that feels respectful and grounded. Clients often describe our work as both deeply validating and powerfully transformative.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first few sessions, we’ll explore what brings you in, your goals for therapy, and what healing looks like for you. I take time to understand your full story—your history, identity, and how you’ve learned to survive. Sessions are 55 minutes and may include talk therapy, EMDR, and somatic or mindfulness-based tools. I’ll always check in with you about what feels right, ensuring that even the deeper work remains safe and supportive. If you're ready to move beyond coping and into healing, I offer a space that honors your autonomy, centers your truth, and supports your growth.

More information on payments and coverage

I am considered a mostly out-of-network provider. This means I do not bill most insurances directly, but I can provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you may submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement, depending on your plan. Clients are responsible for the full session fee at the time of service. Many PPO plans offer partial reimbursement for out-of-network therapy, so be sure to check your benefits. I’m happy to walk you through what questions to ask your insurance company to better understand your coverage. I also offer limited sliding scale slots based on financial need.
