Tamika Thomas, LPC

Psychotherapist
1239 W. 10Th Ave., Denver, CO
Hello, I'm Tamika. I graduated from Adams State University in 2018 with a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health & Counseling. That same year, I also completed my 200-hour teacher training certificate at Satya Yoga Cooperative. In 2021, I furthered my expertise by earning a 200-hour mindfully grieving yoga therapy certificate from The Grief Support Network. Now, as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), I've been working in private practice for two years, helping clients navigate their mental health journeys. I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults who are dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief and loss. My goal is to help you manage your symptoms and restore passion and balance in your life through effective coping strategies. I believe in a holistic approach to therapy, which means I consider the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—in our work together. My approach to therapy is unique, interactive, warm, and accepting. I utilize a variety of techniques tailored to your needs, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), stress management, solution-focused therapy, meditation, mind-body connection practices, mood management, and work-life balance strategies. I also integrate meditation, mindfulness, and yoga into our sessions to support your overall well-being. If you're looking for a therapist who will walk alongside you on your journey to healing and self-discovery, I would be honored to work with you. Let's work together to find the balance and passion you deserve in life.
