Hi, my name is Tanisha. I am very passionate and committed to helping others overcome the hardships of life. During these times, changes are hard, uncomfortable, overwhelming, and stressful. Let me be real, I am no stranger to feeling stuck, lost, alone, and sad. Which is why I am here to show you how resilient you are, and you can and will persevere. I welcome you to a place where we work collaboratively to be in the present moment, fully committed to developing skills to improve symptoms related to life struggles. If you’ve experienced similar hardships, I would be delighted to help you in learning tips/tricks to understanding and managing your symptoms. I have over 9 years of experience helping adults and teens who are in crisis. I have a Masters in Social Work. I received my WA license in 2020. I continue to expand my knowledge and skills set yearly by engaging in educational conferences and trainings.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My style is very warm, empowering, and open-minded. I use a strengths-based and relational approach to create a healthy life by integrating a variety of modalities, including CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Therapy. Let’s work together to create the life you want. I will help you with understanding, managing your symptoms, improving self-esteem, healing yourself, and relationships with others by understanding the mind and body connection. Facing your problems can be scary, which is only temporary, and worth it in the end. Let’s uncover your strengths and potential together. I aim to provide a safe, open, and non-judgmental environment in which you can heal from past traumas; identify and resolve undesirable patterns; and cultivate the best version of yourself. -When life give you lemons, make lemonade!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During the first session, I enjoy getting to know clients and build rapport. They will have the opportunity to share their story. Together we will discuss clients interest in therapy and establish goals. I provide telehealth therapy through the comfort of my home. I also encourage you to be in a place that's confidential and comfortable.

For insurance verification, you will need to create account through my Headway profile. You can then put in your insurance information, which will be verified immediately if applicable. Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Pricing is calculated based on current plan details on file. The expected session cost (based on average session type and length) will be displayed to both the client and the provider within the respective accounts. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits
