Getting to know Taylor Ashe

I work with teens, adults, and couples to explore the patterns and emotions that shape how they relate to themselves and others. My approach is collaborative and relational, helping clients make sense of their experiences and build more fulfilling connections in their lives.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Drawing from my training in emotionally focused therapy (EFT)for couples, and relational psychoanalytic therapy with children and adults, I bring a deep understanding of how our relationships, past and present, shape us. I offer both practical strategies and deep exploration of your experiences and relationships. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, trauma, or relationship challenges, our work together can help you feel more grounded, understood, and capable of creating lasting change. Clients have described me as compassionate, curious, approachable, and having a sense of humor that puts them at ease.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

For the first few sessions, we'll get to know each other to ensure we're a good fit in terms of what you're looking for from therapy, my areas of expertise, and how well we "click". Each person and each session call for something a bit different, but generally speaking, I prioritize safety and trust in the room, meaning we'll move at your pace. I am typically collaborative, curious, and listen intently for things that might otherwise be missed or remain unacknowledged. Broadly, my aim is to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and feel more agency in your life.
