In the realm of mental health, Dr. Bowman holds 18 years of experience. She leads a private therapy practice with a team of eight therapists committed to uplifting more than 600 women, men, adolescents, and children in DC, MD, and VA. A native of the DMV, Dr. Bowman strives to give back to the community from which she came. She pursued her mission by acquiring a B.S. in Psychology (UM, 2010), an M.A. in Professional Counseling from Liberty University (2013), and a Doctorate of Psychology from the University of Arizona Global Campus (2020). She holds licenses from the Virginia, DC, and Maryland boards of counseling and collaborates with some of the most prominent healthcare systems in Northern Virginia, such as INOVA Hospital, Kaiser Permanente, and the Virginia Department of Veteran Services. To keep up with the growing demand for her services, Dr. Bowman began hosting mental health conferences and founded a nonprofit so that no client requesting mental health services would be turned away regardless of their ability to pay. In addition to these many accolades, Dr. Bowman is also an adjunct professor at the University of Massachusetts Global Campus, where she teaches psychology courses to future clinicians. Dr. Bowman specializes in treating trauma and women's issues. She boasts a diverse set of certifications, such as DBT, CBT, and EMDR.
