Getting to know Thailan Pham

I provide a safe, judgment-free space for my clients, and I hope to meet you there with warmth, authenticity, and humor. I have served the diverse population of this city in medical, educational, and non-profit settings, and I understand that your journey is unique. With a Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University, I offer a client-centered, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive approach for adults struggling with stress, anxiety, or depression.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My style is eclectic, incorporating psychodynamic psychotherapy and evidence-based practices. I treat perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and have received advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, an attachment-based model for couples. I support clients to process intergenerational trauma, bridge differences in their families or navigate interracial relationships.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I connect with clients within 24 hours via email. For new clients, I will send over links to two Google Forms to collect information on your needs and availability. I see Aetna clients in-network via Headway (a provider network) and for those clients, I'll send an invitation to enroll for insurance verification and billing purposes prior to our meeting. Our first session will be an opportunity for us to acclimate to each other and for me to learn more about your history and what has brought you to therapy. I offer supportive psychodynamic talk therapy and am open to structuring our sessions in a collaborative way.
