What should a new client know about working with you?

I love what I do, and love seeing and bearing witness to growth and change in my clients. I use a direct but empathetic and non-judgmental approach to treat teens and adults. I see a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, stress, mood disorders, family dysfunction, and trauma. I often see adults dealing with narcissistic family members or recovering from religious trauma. While we work together, you will feel cared for, heard, and validated. I want every one of my clients to leave session feeling like they can continue to make progress and start thriving.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Through individual therapy and a trauma-informed, affirming approach, we will work toward finding the light at the end of the tunnel. I use a combination of DBT, TF-CBT, and strengths based approaches to help you process what you're going through and have the skills to enhance your day to day. We will focus on both the patterns of the past and how that impacts the here and now. I also work with quality medical providers if medication is needed in conjunction with therapy. I do not push medication on any client, but if a client chooses to have medication as a tool in their functioning, I can refer to providers that place your best interest and your physical and mental health as a top priority.
