Psychotherapist
159 Bleecker St, Ste 2C, New York, NY
I believe therapy can be a place to pause and make sense of the experiences that have shaped us. Many people come to therapy carrying questions about who they are, why certain patterns keep repeating, or how to move through painful emotions and relationships. I care deeply about helping clients feel more connected to themselves, understand their emotions with more clarity, and find ways of living that feel more honest and grounded. My approach is warm, collaborative, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, academic and professional stress, grief, life transitions, identity concerns, family dynamics, interpersonal conflict, and emotional regulation. My clinical work draws from psychodynamic-informed therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and feminist therapy. I help clients explore how past experiences, relationships, culture, and social expectations may influence the way they see themselves and relate to others. In our work together, we may look at recurring emotional and relational patterns, understand thoughts that feel self-critical or limiting, and practice new ways of responding to stress, conflict, and uncertainty. I see therapy as both reflective and practical: a space to build insight, but also to create changes that can be felt in everyday life. I received my Master of Arts in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychological Sciences from the University of Connecticut. I have worked with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, including young adults, first-generation students, immigrants, and individuals navigating relationship concerns, trauma-related stress, identity development, and major life transitions. I provide therapy in both English and Mandarin.
