“I highly, highly recommend working with Travis. In the past two years, Travis has helped me maneuver anxiety with his patience, care, and tactical action plans. He's created an environment where I feel comfortable bringing my most sensitive and complicated issues to the table, and I always leave our sessions feeling heard (and, frankly, better!). His approach is extremely thoughtful — he frequently asks how I would like to proceed, asks excellent questions, and checks in at the ends of sessions to see how I'm feeling. In our time working together, I've found myself more equipped to move through difficult situations and emotions. I think I cite him DAILY! If you're looking for a therapist who is engaged, practical, (truly) wise, and supportive (beyond, "I hear you."), Travis is your person. ”

“Travis Tanner has had, and continues to have, a profound impact on my life. While always operating with professionalism, his sessions lack any air of superiority or judgment. Travis remembers details and stories from past sessions, and uses them to help chart themes and patterns. He often employs his vast knowledge of therapy, counseling, and techniques to provide solutions and tactics to handle anxiety, and reframe the ways in which I tackle problems. His brilliance is matched by his compassion. Because he cares about the personal success of his clients, he invests deeply in both our fears and our triumphs. Travis listens when I am stumbling for the right word to describe how I am feeling; he encourages me when I am on the right path; and he challenges and pushes me to go deeper when he senses I am holding back. I look forward to our time together each week, because it is refreshing to enter a space where I feel free to really be myself, and receive feedback and support from someone who cares so deeply. That doesn’t even touch on Travis’ warm and humor, which help make my struggles with anxiety feel less scary and easier to tackle. For anyone who may be seeking therapy but feels that they do not know where to start or feels afraid to open up, I would whole-heartedly recommend working with Travis. He helped make sense and shape of my life, and has always left me feeling empowered. ”

Getting to know Travis Tanner

The foundation of my therapeutic approach is the science of modern psychology. I draw on my experience over the years, along with my education-a Master's in Social Work from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley-to provide a personalized therapeutic experience aimed at producing real results in my clients' lives. I make the process straightforward and transparent, and it all takes place in a calm and down-to-earth environment. For me, there is nothing as rewarding as watching a person's life get richer and fuller as they progress in therapy.

Travis has been helpful in providing useful strategies for working through issues related to anxiety & relationships. I look forward to continuing to work with him.
Travis has been a rockstar of a therapist so far. Every time I leave his office, I feel I can enter my week with a plan of action and a feeling of positivity.
Travis is a super therapist. Travis is excellent at helping me to process my emotions and experiences, and I feel like I am making great progress! We are setting goals and I am confident that with his help, I will achieve them all. Finally, a therapist who listens with compassion and reacts with wisdom and care.
I found it very helpful and cathartic. I immediately felt comfortable sharing thoughts and feelings I had struggled with and kept inside for a long time. I already feel that I have more tools to deal with my pain and discomfort.
