Troy supports people from all sexual orientations and gender identities and has served the LGBTQ+ community throughout his mental health career, particularly folks who identify as transgender and gender diverse as well as individuals living with or directly impacted by HIV and AIDS. Troy is an honors alumnus from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College where he received his Master of Social Work degree and he is an undergraduate alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is passionate about helping people gain new perspectives on themselves and others and engage with strategies that help change their lives for the better.
