What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is warm, relational, and collaborative. I believe that therapy is most effective when it feels like a genuine partnership, where you can show up as your authentic self and know that you will be met with compassion rather than judgment. I strive to create a space where you feel safe enough to explore difficult emotions, challenge longstanding patterns, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself. I understand that every person's story is unique, which is why I do not take a one-size-fits-all approach to treatment. Instead, I work collaboratively with clients to understand their goals, strengths, and challenges so that our work together feels meaningful and relevant to their lives. Some clients come to therapy seeking practical tools to manage anxiety, stress, or overwhelming emotions, while others are looking to better understand relationship patterns, unresolved experiences, or aspects of their identity. Often, therapy involves both. My work is informed by attachment-based, relational, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed perspectives. I believe that our past experiences, relationships, and environments shape how we view ourselves and interact with the world. Together, we explore these influences with curiosity and compassion while also focusing on creating meaningful change in the present. I also believe that healing is not simply about reducing symptoms. It is about helping you build a life that feels more authentic, connected, and aligned with your values. Whether you are navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationship difficulties, or questions about who you are and where you are headed, my goal is to help you feel more empowered, grounded, and confident in yourself and your ability to move forward.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first phase of therapy is focused on getting to know you and building a strong therapeutic relationship. I believe that meaningful work can only happen when there is trust, safety, and a sense of connection between therapist and client. During our initial sessions, I take time to understand what has brought you to therapy, what challenges you are currently facing, and what goals you hope to achieve through our work together. The assessment process is collaborative and conversational. We will explore your current concerns, personal history, relationships, strengths, and the experiences that have shaped you. I am interested not only in understanding the symptoms or difficulties you may be experiencing, but also the broader context of your life. This helps us develop a more complete picture of who you are and what may be contributing to the challenges you are facing. As we build rapport and gain a deeper understanding of your needs, we will work together to identify the approach that feels most supportive and effective for you. For some clients, this may involve learning practical coping skills and strategies for managing anxiety, stress, or emotional overwhelm. For others, it may involve exploring deeper relational patterns, attachment experiences, or unresolved emotional wounds. Most often, therapy includes a combination of both insight and skill-building. Throughout our work together, I regularly check in with clients about their goals, progress, and experience in therapy. I believe treatment should evolve alongside you. As your needs change, our work can adapt accordingly. My goal is to provide a therapeutic experience that feels personalized, collaborative, and supportive, helping you develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and confidence as you move toward the life you want to create.
