Psychotherapist
CO
Hello, I'm Virginia. My counseling style is highly adaptive, nonjudgmental, and deeply relational. I believe that healing and hope exist within the context of the therapeutic relationship, and I strive to create a space where you can feel safe and understood. With over twenty years of experience practicing as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the Bay Area and five years in Vermont, I bring a wealth of knowledge and compassion to our sessions. I am well-versed in various therapeutic modalities, including family systems, strength-based treatment, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness. My specializations include eating disorders, depression, anxiety, couples, family relational conflicts, and women's issues. I also have experience supporting clients through addiction, grief, life transitions, medical issues, PTSD, LGBTQIA+ support, spirituality, stress, suicidal ideation, and trauma. In our work together, I focus on you as a whole person, using humor, behavioral therapies, mindfulness, and dreamwork to foster a healing environment that promotes growth and authenticity. Whether you're navigating a challenging life transition, struggling with a mental health issue, or seeking to improve your relationships, I'm here to support you every step of the way. Originally from Colorado, I'm thrilled to be resuming my practice in Boulder. Outside of therapy, I enjoy connecting with nature and spending time with my family. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and help you achieve your goals. Please don't hesitate to reach out and take the first step towards a healthier, more fulfilling life.
