What should a new client know about working with you?

You don't need to have everything figured out before we start. If you’ve been holding a lot in or feeling overwhelmed by a major life change, you don’t have to do it alone. Therapy with me is a steady, respectful, and human space. I will meet you with warmth and curiosity, but also with honesty. Together, we will get clear on what matters most to you and use that to build doable steps forward so you can feel more grounded and like yourself again.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first session is a low-pressure start where you can just share what’s been going on and what you want to be different. I’ll do a thoughtful check-in on your current mental health—including mood, stress, and sleep—so we can begin identifying patterns. In our ongoing work, we will draw from ACT and CBT to outline realistic goals that fit your actual life. For those specifically struggling with sleep, I offer CBT-I (the gold-standard treatment for insomnia). I am currently completing advanced training toward board certification in behavioral sleep medicine to provide this specific support.

In-Network: Several commercial insurance plans are accepted. Headway will verify your benefits before our first session so you know your exact costs upfront. Important Insurance Note: My billing system cannot process self-funded union or labor plans, even if they feature a major insurance logo on the card. To avoid unexpected out-of-network costs, please confirm your plan is standard commercial before booking! Out-of-Network: If your plan isn't accepted, you will pay at the time of our session. I can provide a monthly "superbill" receipt for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
