Psychotherapist
CO
Hello, I'm Wendy. My approach to therapy is simple: In with the good, out with the bad. I believe that many of the problems we experience stem from carrying too much from our past and not taking good enough care of ourselves in the present. The symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance abuse can all arise from these issues. Using a variety of approaches, including psychotherapy, hypnosis, EMDR, and process work, my clients and I work together to shift this balance. As you get better at nurturing yourself and begin to let go of the weight of the past, you'll start to feel better. Between sessions, I'll encourage you to focus on practicing self-care (in with the good), and during our sessions, we'll tackle the hard stuff together (out with the bad). Life will always have its challenges, but what's important is maintaining your inner capacity to cope. To me, the goal of therapy is to help you trust in your ability to support yourself and to know that you have help when you need it. Simple but not easy. You don't have to keep doing it alone. I'm here to help. I've been in private practice for over 20 years, and during this time, I've been honored to witness the incredible resilience and strength that humans possess. My clients and I enjoy our therapy sessions, and because everything we do is co-created, the treatment is powerful and the outcomes last. Most of the time, people leave my office feeling much better than when they entered it. I love what I do and feel incredibly fortunate to have the most fulfilling and fun job I could have ever imagined. If you're ready to start this journey towards better self-care and letting go of the past, I'm here to support you every step of the way.
