Hello, I'm Wendy. A mentor once told me, 'We are masters of our own recovery.' This philosophy has guided my practice ever since. I firmly believe that each of us possesses the innate ability to navigate through life's challenges and develop skills to manage strong emotions. Life can often feel like a rollercoaster, but with the right support and guidance, we can work together to find stability and resilience. I earned my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University in 2015. Since then, I've had the privilege of working in a community mental health agency, serving diverse populations. My journey has also taken me into higher education, where I've worked as a career and academic counselor. Today, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Addiction Specialist, dedicated to helping individuals of all ages achieve their mental health goals. My therapeutic approach is grounded in a variety of evidence-based practices, including EMDR, CBT, Acudetox, and Play Therapy. I am committed to being culturally sensitive and taking a holistic approach to care, ensuring that each client's unique needs and experiences are respected and addressed.
