Psychotherapist
412 6th Ave, 7th Fl, New York, NY
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or looking to better understand your relationships, identity, or sense of direction, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Together, we can create space for reflection, insight, and meaningful change. My approach is grounded in psychodynamic and humanistic perspectives, and is further informed by feminist theory, intersectionality, and queer theory. I focus on helping clients explore how past experiences shape present patterns, while also examining how culture and identity influence the ways we move through the world. I strive to meet you with openness, curiosity, and care—listening closely to your needs, desires, and lived experience. I believe we all possess inner strengths that can support healing and growth, and our work together can center on accessing and building upon those strengths. As a queer person, I am committed to creating an affirming space where you can feel safe being fully yourself. Whether you are exploring questions of gender, sexuality, belonging, or seeking a deeper connection to who you are, I aim to support you in showing up as your whole, authentic self. I earned my B.S. in Psychology from Tsinghua University and completed my Ed.M. and M.A. in Mental Health Counseling at Teachers College, Columbia University. I also have experience working with a nonprofit organization supporting queer communities in China. Sessions can be held in both English and Mandarin.
