“My sessions with Todd have been incredible. Like so many I avoided getting help through therapy for years out of fear and now I'm constantly asking myself 'Why didn't I do this sooner??' He's very helpful explaining the methods to help me so that I really understand and can use them effectively, while also soothing any fears or anxieties I have about digging deeper into topics that can be difficult. I can't recommend him enough, I can truly say that my life has changed for the better since our sessions started.”

Getting to know Dr. William Anderson

Dr. Todd Anderson, PhD, PsyD, LP, CCTP, NCPsyA, CHT is a warm, intelligent, and engaging psychotherapist who treats patients with a wide range of concerns. Common issues he works with in his practice include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, issues related to sexuality, trauma, problematic substance use, and coping with chronic health conditions. Dr. Anderson completed a five-year post-graduate Clinical Fellowship in psychoanalysis and contemporary relational gestalt therapy at Gestalt Associates for Psychotherapy. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, he has special expertise in treating patients with trauma. He specialized in existential psychotherapy training at the Graduate Theological Foundation. Additionally, he is a certified hypnotherapist, is certified in mindfulness-based meditation and interventions, and has training in somatic psychotherapy. Dr. Anderson believes that while a focus on symptom reduction is useful, it is often helpful to accompany this by working psychodynamically to treat underlying causes of symptoms. He does this by focusing on the whole person and meeting each individual patient where they are with a highly personalized approach to treatment. Please note that when scheduling on ZocDoc, the time slot you choose is tentatively held as your regular time for recurring weekly psychotherapy if you and Dr. Anderson decide to engage in ongoing treatment.

I have been seeing Dr. Anderson since November, and I can confidently say that my sessions with him have been a game-changer. I navigate my life with much more clarity now, and I feel that I have grown significantly over the past few months. He has guided me through my stress and anxiety, and has helped me reconcile with past grievances -- which I’m incredibly grateful for. Going to therapy is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Needless to say, I highly recommend him.
A consummate professional - the only therapist I've interacted with whom is able to truly meet me where I am. The lightbulb moments that occur inform my understanding of past traumas, and how I can mere favorably interface with them in future situations.
I came into therapy doubtful of the extent to which it could help me, but my experiences with Dr. Anderson far exceed my expectations. I felt heard and understood and hopeful for my own growth/improvement. I feel I am lucky to have found someone so intellegent, kind, and ready to meet me where I am at. Our sessions are engaging, and I look forward to them each week. So often in prior therapy I felt I was given unspecific and unhelpful platitudes. Therapy with Dr. Anderson is the opposite of that, and I am better because of it.
Effective and helpful. Flexible scheduling. Easy to communicate and appreciate Doctor Anderson's guiding the conversation wtihout being pushy.
