Jacob brings a varied set of personal and professional experiences to his work as a therapist. Before choosing psychology as a profession, he spent a number of years pursuing a career in public relations and advertising. Jacob's experience in business gives him a keen understanding of the issues that business world professionals face in their daily lives and relationships. He also has worked in fitness as a personal trainer and understands how keeping the physical body healthy and strong is a vital component of overall mental and emotional health.
Jacob earned his Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mercy College, which has equipped him with specialized skills to support individuals and families. Born in Tel Aviv, Israel, his experience living there for a number of years provided him with a deep cultural understanding of his roots. He grew up in a close-knit Jewish family in Brooklyn, where he still has strong family and professional ties. Jacob understands the importance of establishing trust and effective communication between family members. Having personal experience with issues that an interfaith relationship can bring, he is sensitive and respectful of religious and cultural challenges that families might be facing.
