Ms. Yelena Remus is a skilled and dedicated psychotherapist who offers virtual counseling sessions at Overleaf Psychotherapy. She is passionate about working with adults, young adults, and adolescents who are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, and other anxiety-related disorders.
Ms. Remus is deeply committed to creating an emotionally safe therapeutic environment grounded in empathy and compassion. She works collaboratively with clients to deepen emotional awareness, identify adaptive and maladaptive patterns in their lives, and move toward values-aligned goals that reflect what matters most to them.
Ms. Remus earned her master's degree in school counseling from Gwynedd Mercy University. She also holds an advanced certification in mental health counseling from Hofstra University.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I work with clients who may be navigating emotional dysregulation, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, OCD, and other anxiety related disorders. I bring a psychodynamic approach to my work with clients, believing that the greatest gift we can give ourselves is a deeper understanding of our emotional patterns and their origins. I am also extensively trained in ERP, DBT and CBT and draw from these behavioral modalities in my work with clients as well.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I am currently accepting clients for telehealth therapy sessions. After booking with me, I will contact you for a free 15-minute phone consultation.
I practice as an out of network (OON) provider with insurance panels but can provide a superbill that clients can submit to their insurance company for OON reimbursement.

I've had the pleasure of knowing Yelena professionally since 2016. Not only is she a joy to know personally, she is one of the most passionate clinicians I know. Yelena is skilled in both group and individual therapy, and is always looking to expand her clinical knowledge + expertise. She is an extremely warm and empathetic provider, who goes above and beyond to work with each client as a unique individual and meet their specific needs/goals. I would recommend Yelena to anyone seeking a skilled and compassionate therapist; she is truly one of a kind.
