Getting to know Yufei Lu
The identities we carry and the ways they intersect can deeply shape how we see ourselves, relate to others, and experience the world around us. As an East Asian therapist who has lived across multiple cultures, I work with clients navigating the intersection of identity, culture, and belonging. I am especially passionate about supporting BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, gender and sexuality, life transitions, trauma, and questions around identity and belonging.
My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, grounded in person-centered and feminist therapy, while drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to tailor therapy to your needs. I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental space where you feel safe being yourself and find your own voice. I offer sessions in English and Mandarin and warmly welcome clients of all identities and backgrounds.
Together, I hope to help you deepen self-understanding, cultivate self-compassion, build practical tools, and feel empowered as you navigate your life journey.
