The provider is a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern. *After booking, you will receive a link via IntakeQ so you can complete required intake forms prior to your appointment* I am an LMSW with a Master of Social Work from Columbia University, providing telehealth therapy to adults in New York, Florida, and Massachusetts. One of the most memorable experiences of my early career was my graduate school placement with Asian Americans for Equality. The team culture was deeply supportive and affirming, filled with laughter, diversity, and, of course, snacks that brightened even the most challenging days. I later worked in a psychedelic-assisted therapy clinic, where I supported high-risk clients through transformative healing. That experience broadened my understanding of alternative recovery paths and taught me the value of holding both intensity and hope simultaneously. My clinical focus is trauma care, particularly the ways intergenerational trauma shapes people’s lives. This often involves recognizing patterns, coping mechanisms, or unspoken family rules passed down unconsciously. In therapy, we slow down to explore how these dynamics may surface in relationships, identity, and daily life. The goal is not to assign blame to the past, but to create space for reflection, feeling, and intentional choice about what to carry forward. I draw on dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and other evidence-based approaches, blending skill-building with deeper emotional exploration. I have extensive experience supporting clients through childhood trauma, attachment wounds, and relational challenges, whether romantic, platonic, or familial. I have worked effectively with individuals living with borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, and treatment-resistant depression, always using a trauma-informed approach grounded in care and curiosity.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a culturally aware, kink-aware, and LGBTQ+ affirming therapist who deeply values diversity of identity and experience. My goal is to create a space that feels both safe and brave, where clients can show up fully without fear of judgment. I bring warmth, flexibility, and a touch of humor to the process while honoring the depth of each client’s healing journey. I am especially passionate about increasing access to mental health care for marginalized communities, particularly queer and trans individuals within the Asian diaspora. Too many people carry silent pain because of cultural stigma, family dynamics, and systemic barriers. My mission is to be both a therapist and an advocate, amplifying voices that deserve to be heard and ensuring that quality care reaches those who need it most. I work with first-generation immigrants, LGBTQ+ clients, and individuals navigating treatment-resistant mental health challenges. My approach is to meet each client where they are and walk alongside them as they rewrite their story. Therapy is a commitment to yourself, your healing, and your growth. The moment you step into this process, you are choosing to reclaim your voice and your power. I am deeply honored to walk this journey with you. Outside of my clinical work, I share my life with a very cute cat (and yes, I’ll happily show you pictures!) who helps keep me grounded. Cuddling and playing with him gives me the sensory reset I sometimes need. I also love to sing and play guitar, finding peace and joy in music. Recently, I’ve set a personal goal to read more books, and I’m excited to dive into new stories and ideas.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I am a person-centered therapist with a culturally affirming and solution-focused approach. I see you not as a set of symptoms or labels, but as a whole person shaped by your culture, family, community, and lived experiences. My goal is to create a space where all aspects of your identity are seen, respected, and integrated into the healing process. At the same time, I focus on your strengths and what’s already working, so we can build practical steps forward together. Therapy, in my view, should be as unique as the person sitting across the screen from me. That’s why I blend person-centered and solution-focused care with other therapeutic approaches to create something that feels both personalized and effective. My work is grounded in mindfulness and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and I have additional training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and internal family systems (IFS). I frequently draw on IFS and parts work to help clients address relational patterns, while using mindfulness-based strategies to support emotional regulation and grounding. I also hold a certificate in psychedelic-assisted therapy and bring experience supporting clients who are managing medications or exploring nontraditional treatment paths.
