HELLO, I AM A BILINGUAL PUERTO RICAN FEMALE BORN AND RAISED IN NEW YORK CITY. I STARTED MY CAREER SERVICING INDIVIDUALS WITH MY ROLE AS A “CASEWORKER” 40 YEARS AGO. WITH A DEGREE IN LIBERAL ARTS, I WAS ABLE TO HELP WITH THE EMOTIONAL AND CONCRETE NEEDS OF MANY COMMUNITY MEMBERS. BY 1997 I OBTAINED MY MASTER’s DEGREE IN SOCIAL WORK AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER MANDATED TRAINING RECEIVED MY LICENSE. AS A LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER (LCSW) I HAVE ENGAGED AND PROVIDED AGENCY AND PRIVATE PRACTICE PSYCHOLOGICAL INTAKES, CRISIS INTERVENTIONS, PROGRAM DEVELOPMENTS, SOCIAL WORK INTERN SUPERVISION, AND DIRECTORSHIP. I’VE PERFORMED INDIVIDUAL THERAPEUTIC SERVICES, FAMILY SESSIONS , COUPLES WORK AND GROUP WORK; THE AGES RANGED FROM 5 YEARS OLD TO 78 YEARS OLD. THE SETTINGS THAT I HAVE BEEN EMPLOYED AT THEMSELVES HAVE BEEN TRADITIONAL OFFICE BUILDING, MENTAL HEALTH CLINICS, CATHOLIC SCHOOL, TRADITIONAL SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITY SCHOOL MODEL RUN BY CHILDREN’S AID SOCIETY. MOST RECENTLY, I HAVE BEEN EMPLOYED AS A TELE HEALTH LCSW WORKER FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS AND HAVE MY OWN SMALL PRIVATE PRACTICE.
