Yvette Woodruff is a licensed professional counselor in the State of Michigan, with over 35 years of counseling experience in the human service field. She earned her Master’s degree in Art Therapy from Wayne State University. Yvette has worked with a wide range of individuals—youth and adults—with concerns and backgrounds in the following areas: anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, work, school, anger, parenting problems, trauma, chronic health challenges, self-esteem, substance use disorders, self-harm, suicidal ideation, OCD, and ADHD. She is state certified as a trauma-trained therapist as well as being a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (CAADC).
Her counseling style is warm and interactive, as well as person-centered. She treats her clients with dignity and respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Her approach is eclectic, using cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and motivational interviewing. Treatment plans are tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
