Getting to know Zhicheng (Jay) Huang

* WE DO NOT PROVIDE MEDICATION MANAGMENT I help individuals navigate stress, trauma, cultural adjustment, and intimacy challenges by exploring how personal history and social context shape your thought patterns and emotional patterns. Grounded in my upbringing in China and research on systemic influences, I offer a culturally attuned lens to therapy. Together, we uncover meaningful insights, release emotional burdens, and build flexible strategies to strengthen the areas that matter most—whether in work, health, or relationships.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy is a collaborative process—we shape its direction together. If you’ve worked with therapists before, we can reflect on those experiences and learn from them. If you’re new to therapy, you’re welcome to simply try it out and see how this process feels for you. Either way, take this as a new experiment that offers some different experiences. I don’t claim to master every modality. My approach is primarily person-centered, integrating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy. This blend helps us explore your experiences with empathy and structure, while developing practical strategies that align with your values and support meaningful change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The topics we discuss vary widely, and each client brings a unique communication style. But the essence remains the same—we focus on meaningful conversations that address your concerns, highlight your strengths, and support what’s most important to you.
