Dr. Smith has been included in Best Doctors in America since 1994 and named a Texas Super Doctor since 2003. He received the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and is a member of the Expert Panel for Allergy for the Texas Medical Board. Dr. Smith and his wife have three children, all living in Austin. He considers it a blessing to have his family close by. He teaches middle and high school Sunday school and serves as Health Supervisor and member of the Enterprise Risk Management Committee of the Capital Area Council. He is also the Chartered Organization Representative to the Boy Scout troop sponsored by his church. An amateur photographer and master scuba diver, he brings diverse interests outside of medicine. He firmly believes that diseases do not have patients; rather, patients have diseases. Patients are always his first priority. His approach to care is grounded in evidence-based medicine, supplementing each patient’s treatment with the best available scientific knowledge. He advocates that decisions and policies should be based on evidence, not solely on the beliefs of practitioners, experts, or administrators.

Waste of my time, horrible experience
Verified patient
I waited over a month for this appointment to be allergy tested. It took an hour before I was seen, and when the doctor came into the exam room, he was passive aggressive and did not listen to my concerns. I was told that I would not be getting the allergy test I had scheduled and would need to reschedule for another day. It was overall very frustrating and disappointing, and I will not be returning.
The office was nice, everyone was helpful and friendly and I felt listened to and given time but Dr. Smith! He was understanding, humorous and knowledgeable.

Great
Video visit
Total office time was over 3 hours long. When allergy test was finally performed 1.5 hours in, no results were read for another 1-1.5 hours. Doctor’s bedside manner is very relaxed, colloquial, and antiquated. Does not mind wasting your time. Do not recommend!!!
Super friendly very informative highly recommend!
