The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released a report on heart disease mortality by the state in 2022. It indicated that there were around 159.2 heart disease-related deaths per 100,000 people in New York, which resulted in around 43,237 deaths in 2022, making heart disease the leading cause of death in New York.
