About Dr. Adhuna Mathuria
Dr. Mathuria completed her fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she earned the Allergy/Immunology Clinical Fellowship Award given by the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. She completed her residency at Georgetown University Medical Center, internship at Eastern Virginia Medical School, and medical training through the combined BS/MD program at the Medical College of Virginia.
Dr. Mathuria has spent time in research and published several basic science articles. Her research experience includes time at Johns Hopkins University, the National Institutes of Health, and the Yale School of Medicine.
She has been practicing in Northern Virginia since 2009. She continues to serve as part-time faculty at Johns Hopkins University. She sees all pediatric and adult allergy and immunology patients, including those with chronic rhinosinusitis, drug and insect allergy, urticaria, eczema, immunodeficiency and asthma. Her special interests include food allergy and eosinophilic esophagitis.
Dr. Mathuria has twin boys, who keep her busy through music and sports. She lives in Chantilly with her husband and sons.

The office staff was great, the doctor communicated well. The only thing was that I was told they would fill in a prescription and it hasn't been done yet.

It took a while to have a virtual visit with Dr. Mathuria due to the appointment that I made on ZocDoc not syncing with her calendar. We were able to have a virtual visit over the phone, and I can't say enough good things about Dr. Mathuria. My visit was supposed to happen on Monday, December 28, but she called me the night before to save me some time, especially since I was having a lot of allergy symptoms due to getting a new dog. Dr. Mathuria's bedside manner was excellent! She listened to everything that I had to say and provided me with a wealth of knowledge to help alleviate my allergies. She was able to prescribe me some medications that night to help me with allergy symptoms. I was so relieved because it was a three week struggle at home with my allergies. Even though there was a mix-up with scheduling in the beginning, the wait was well-worth it because I knew that my health would be in great hands with Dr. Mathuria. I look forward to working with her since she's received a lot of great reviews from her other patients and has done a wonderful job providing them with great care! Thank you so much Dr. Mathuria!

I was having a lot of troubles with my constant respiratory issues. Dr Mathuria was easy to get an appointment with, was much more attentive than my on general pc and she was able to get my pain and symptoms quickly resolved and under control. Not only that but she was very empathetic to my frustrations and confusion. I highly recommend her as an allergist, whether you need one regularly or not.

I had my second appointment with Dr. Mathuria I can’t recommend her enough, she is wonderful. She takes the time to get to know you, answers all your questions, and is up on all the leading research in her field. You may have to wait a bit to be seen but that’s because she actually spends time with her patients instead of pushing them through; a fair trade off in my book. It’s refreshing to see doctor who combines an outstanding “bedside manner” with incredible knowledge.

The wait was very long, longer than usual. More than 45 minutes passed between the RN and the Dr. Once the Dr showed up, she was very apologetic and extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend, perhaps today was just "one of those days".

I needed to set up with a new allergy practice and Dr. Mathuria's office is in a good location, within about a 20-30 minute drive of many northern Virginia communities. The new office building is lovely and her staff is all very welcoming and helpful.
