“My overall experience was very good . I found my doctor on Zocdoc, and it provided all the information I needed. Once I showed the staff was friendly, the environment was clean. One thing that I did notice is that the waiting room does get filled up very fast at times. The wait time was a little bit more than expected. But once I got in to see doctorAfsaneh Amini, the experience was phenomenal, I was in and out very fast , she answered all my questions. I would recommend her any day to people who are looking for an optometrist.”

About Dr. Afsaneh Amini
Dr. Amini received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University California Irvine. Her education continued at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee where she obtained her Doctorate of Optometry.
After relocating to San Diego, Dr. Amini worked at several optometric practices as well as a large MD/OD medical practice specializing in cataract surgery before joining American Eye Associates. Dr. Amini has specialized training in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease including glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration. She also fits contact lenses, performs diabetic eye exams and provides top notch primary eyecare for her patients.
When not practicing optometry, she enjoys running, riding horses, yoga, and spending time with her two dogs.
