Dr. Alfredo Mazzuca is a recent graduate of the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry. He has completed a residency in Ocular Disease through SUNY Optometry and its affiliate site, Woodhull Medical Center, and has been awarded FAAO status as a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Mazzuca specializes in anterior segment pathologies, including dry eye, corneal abrasions, and ocular allergies. He has extensive experience in medical contact lens fittings for keratoconus and irregular corneas. Dr. M is one of the few clinicians who thoughtfully listen and guide you through your eye exam. This is my third year seeing him and he always brings a smile to my face. Highly recommend him if you’re looking for great care.

Dr Mazzuca was fantastic. This was my first eye exam ever and he was actually excited to explain to me every single step - what he was doing, why he was doing it, encouraged me to ask questions - even with basically 20/20 vision, he was extremely thorough, comforting and open.

Dr. Alfredo for sure is the best optometrist I have personally had. I have visited optometrists/ophthalmologists before since I have been wearing glasses since childhood and followed for annual visits. He is the best . He took his time for the most precise evaluation. It was very impressive. Office was not busy but I am sure he would have taken time efficiently to ensure best evaluation. I also got trial contacts. Office staff were also very nice. They have optics with variety of glasses, however , I believe lens prices are somewhat overpriced. David the optician was excellent and he took his time to discuss different options with me. I certainly follow with them and recommend 100%.

Upon my arrival, the doctor was notified and I was called in immediately to see him. He introduced himself and shook my hand upon meeting him for the first time. The doctor was a great listener and answered all my questions without hesitation.
He even offered to email my exam photos if I requested them. Each technique was explained as he conducted an exam which I found fascinating because previous eye doctors did not. They would perform the eye exams without explanation and rush me out to see the next patient.
