Patient reviews for Dr. Andrew Nightingale
Both doctors and technicians in this office are charming and knowledgeable but the supernumerary receptionists have reached heights of obnoxious impertinence when asked basic and justified billing questions.
The office staff was great and everything moved fluidly. They did very thorough exams and tests which I needed and dr Nightingale explained everything. I am happy to have him as my new eye doctor. Again the office staff is unusually wonderful which helps the experience.
Wow! Such an excellent, caring doctor, and such a fantastic staff! I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. I'm relatively new-ish in town, and am very lucky to have found Dr. Andrew Nightingale. Not only is he incredibly thorough and knowledgable, he's very patient, and took the time to really explain things during my visit. His staff is kind, friendly, and was incredibly helpful, beginning with my very first phone call to the office. I'm thrilled to have Dr. Nightingale (without question or hesitation) as my ophthalmologist in NYC, and I highly recommend Dr. Nightingale and his wonderful team!
Very professional and knowledgeable doctor who took his time with me. Great bedside manner. I was looking for a new eye doctor and I’m very happy I found Dr. Nightingale. His staff was very friendly and attentive, the office was clean and there was no long wait time. I highly recommend this doctor.
Dr. Nightingale and his whole staff were fantastic! They were extremely accommodating, kind, sensitive, and professional from the time I walked through the door until the time I left and made sure I had everything I needed (from tissues to prescriptions called into my pharmacy) after a small procedure. Would highly recommend him!
Dr. Nightingale is an expert, a true professiona. He is hands-down the most informed, kindest and thorough opthalmologist I've ever seen. While not the main reason for my visit, I raised a concern about a condition I've had since lacerating the cornea in one eye some years ago. I've discussed this with two other opthalmologists, both highly recommended. Dr. Nightingale was the only doctor to normalize and fully explain the issue. Other doc's essentially brushed off the concern, implying I was imagining things. Dr. Nightingale not only identified the issue, but contextualized and thoroughly explained it, in a reassuring and calming manner. Most importantly, my eye exam was as thorough as they come, and the doctor spent time to carefully discuss corrective options. Dr. Nightingale's office staff could not have been more professional or kinder had they been professional actors following a script (fortunately they are real humans who do a fantastic job of making you feel important, welcome and cared for). My experience with Dr. Nightingale and team were a rare and welcome surprise in the increasingly rushed, bottom line-driven world of healthcare provision. This consummate professional deserves the highest rating available.
Intelligent and knowledgeable . Helped me with my problem right away
The doctor is very good. I only didn’t like that the hallway smelled like urine. I even got sick because of that. You should hire somebody to clean that.
Everyone was great - from the receptionist to the assistant and especially Dr. Nightingale. Felt very well cared for. Thanks!
Very well run office. Good atmosphere. Professional. Recommend.
Great doctor and great staff
Highly recommend Dr Nightingale.
Great visit. Very efficient (I went first thing in the morning). My ZocDoc appointment wasn't in their system and they still accommodated me. The doctor was really helpful in answering my questions and taking care of me.
Not only was Dr. A. Nightingale professional and polite so was his entire staff. I would recommend him very highly. Thank you
Great staff, awesome doctor!!
He fixed my eye problem quickly!
Fantastic office, receptionist’, assistant and superb doctor. I couldn’t ask for better. Very accommodating and meets my needs.
Really wonderful doctor. Even waived refraction fee as an apology for the longer (20 min) wait.
Very professional, friendly and efficient.
Excellent service pretty quick turnaround from moment you go in to be attended until you leave
Clean office, clear explanation of expenses and billing, very professional and provided lots of information.
Except for the wait time which was due to a computemalfunction, I experience was excellent!
Great doctor. Great job explaining everything. Super personable.
I was not happy with my previous ophthalmologist due to the office not following through with sending a contact prescription to my supplier after many requests and an incorrect glasses prescription made by that Dr. To be fair, that Dr. did pay for the second pair of glasses due to his mistake but a great deal of time was wasted. I feel very confident with Dr. Nightingale after the very thorough eye exam I received and the office staff was very efficient. I believe I have found my new Ophthalmologist!
Dr. Nightingale is extremely professional as well as a pleasure to speak with. Excellent bedside manner.
The office was very nice and clean, and the receptionist and the medical assistants were friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. As for Dr. Nightingale, you can tell he's an experienced professional, though a little aloof (at least to he was): he was respectful, clear and explained the treatments I was getting.
Professional & informative. Very clean office with friendly staff.
Very through, staff very friendly. It was a very pleasant visit
The doctor was fine. Unfortunately a tech did some initial tests and was rather inept and made mistakes. I thought it would be good to switch doctors as my previous doctor was no longer in network. However, as it turns out, the out-of-network cost would be less than a full exam here. Based on having to be seen first by a tech, I am less than enthusiastic.
Excellent Doctor. Very professional and friendly staff. Nice location. Quiet place.
He is very nice and kind and really care to me. All staff are very nice and helpful. Thank God I have no bad issues in my eyes, thank you very much Dr, Andrew. I’m thankful to meet you. See you next time!
Dr and staff were all great!! I highly recommend!!
Very attentive , caring and professional! My seven year old enjoyed his appointment today with Dr.Nightingale. Thank you!
This doctor is professional and efficient, as well as his team! A great pleasure.
My best experience with an eye dr ever!
I did a little research before I visit Dr Nightingale. The visit exceeded the level of my expectation.
Great Doctor and friendly staff
Dr. Nightingale was great.
Best ophthalmologist ever!
Great experience here! Efficient, everyone is nice. Doctor is knowledgeable and nice.
Had some minor itching in my eye. Tried to prescribe a brand name eye drop that was hundreds more than a nearly identical generic that the pharmacist recommended.
It was such a great short trip to an eye doctor I have ever been. Everything went smoothly and it wasn't crowded on a Friday evening. I have to pay some money upfront for an eye test to see if I need to change glasses but you can get it refunded from your insurance provider. Overall, it was wonderful.
highly professional and pleasant.
He, frankly, seemed a bit disinterested. He identified a condition and seemed unsympathetic and annoyed that I couldn’t remember a history of any previous symptoms. I’m sure he was just trying to figure out the cause, but a smile and some patience would have been appreciated.
Very professional and laid out every option for me. Did not sugarcoat anything and I love that!!
The whole experience was excellent! Spiffy office, quick intake, a preparatory exam (fully explained), and Dr. Nightingale himself was friendly and immediately put me at ease.
Polite efficient office staff. Pleasant office and location. Nice polite efficient medical assistants. Dr Nightingale is a nice, smart guy. Un-rushed visit. All good.
The nurse/tech who did my initial tests were very kind and professional, and explained everything that was happening. The Dr was nice and also took time to answer my questions.
