About Dr. Bradley Phillips
About Us
Dr. Phillips is a graduate of Cornell University and earned his Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York, Stony Brook. After medical school, he completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and his residency in Ophthalmology at SUNY-Downstate Medical Center. Subsequently, he completed a fellowship in Neuro-Ophthalmology at SUNY-Downstate under the esteemed Dr. Arthur H. Wolintz, former Department Chair and Distinguished Professor of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Phillips became renowned as a trailblazer in SUNY-Downstate's Brooklyn community for pioneering the Department of Ophthalmology’s offering of the no-stitch/no-needle technique and multifocal lens options to his cataract and presbyopic patients, including the new multifocal and accommodating intraocular (premium) lens options. For over ten years in Dr. Phillips’ talented hands, this option has successfully offered patients the possibility of seeing well at varying distances without the use of spectacles or contacts. The no-stitch cataract surgery enables the eye to heal fast, significantly reducing recovery time and allowing most patients to return to work or sports within days instead of weeks or months, as was common with older surgical methods.

I am used to the doctor giving full exam and providing eyeglasses after visit. Which that was not here at this office. The help gave me a full eye exam and the doctor wrote a prescription which did not include any frames. I was told to take my prescription elsewhere to get frames. I have never experienced anything like this.

I was uncomfortable with being left to my own devices after having my eyes dilated. I was not informed that this was going to happen or what I would experience while being dilated. I left the office without protective glasses offered to me.
in my second visit to the office I was left to wait over an hour without being seen. I had to make the decision to leave without being seen by the doctor.

It has been about 3 yrs since my last visit Dr. Bradley has been the only Dr that understands my condition and I known him since 2010. He is friendly, & a good listener. The new front desk staff is very kind and the two ladies that perform the testing are excellent. I am so glad I went back!

The entire staff was very kind, friendly, and professional. I was seen quickly after checking in with the wonderful front desk receptionist, and the assistant was very kind, attentive, and made me feel very comfortable while taking in my complaints and administering tests. Dr. Phillips was tremendously helpful, professional, and had an excellent bedside manner. This physician is very knowledgeable, friendly, and really does listen. This was my first time visiting, but I absolutely will return - I am very impressed with Dr. Phillips, and his staff. Very positive experience.

The most disorganized practice I've ever seen. It is easy to get an appointment because they overbook patients. The wait times are at least 45 minutes and often longer to be seen by the staff, then you have to wait longer for the doctor.

Honestly, it wasn't a bad appointment with the doctor but it wasn't great either. My problems were with the wait, close to 2 hours and then the billing issues after. They claimed funds from my insurance and then also in person and are saying they are for "different" things but I only went in for an eye exam! Unethical!!!

Dr. Phillips was very nice seemed like he cared about my concerns. Although I felt like I was being rushed.
The wait time in this office is what killed it. Took me 2 hours before I was seen by the doctor. The medical assistant was training a new employee and I felt that it was a wrong time to considering there was a long line waiting to be checked in. Also in my opinion the medical assistant was rude and loud.

Prefilled forms from Zocdoc, so not much forms to fill out when I got there. Wait wasn't bad, considering I was a new patient.
Dr. Phillips is a capable ophthalmologist. He did catch me by surprise with all of the eye drops I had to take, but that's more of an issue with my sensitivity to my eyes being handled than with him and he was very patient with me in that regards, which I appreciated.
Tests were fairly quick, discounting the wait time for my eyes to dilate, and he was quick with diagnosing my stye and prescribing an antibiotic eyedrops and recommending I clean my eyelids every so often. Also kept up some light conversation as well.
Was a bit reserved coming in since this was my first time using Zocdoc but I would not be opposed to coming back to him again.

The secretary was very slow and didn't know what she was doing. Dr. Phillips was the WORST Doctor I have ever had. He did not give me ANY answers to any questions, he may have said 10 words total. If I could, I would be brutally honest. NEVER go to him, he is the most unprofessional human being I have ever dealt with.
