“The doctor I saw was super nice, very understanding, had a med student with him and made sure that the student understood and that I was heard too and not made an item for their practice. I had to get new glasses and the man Kevin in the office did a great job helping me pick out a pair of glasses that fit my wide head.”

About Dr. Breck Dakin
Breck Dakin, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Pikeville’s Kentucky College of Optometry (KYCO) in 2021 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Kansas State University. While attending KYCO, Dr. Dakin was the recipient of numerous awards, including the Kentucky Optometric Association Advocacy Award, the KYCO Student Leadership Award, and the KYCO Excellence in Research Award. Dr. Dakin’s strong passion for helping people and improving their quality of life led him to pursue a career in optometry. He believes optometry is a very social profession and especially enjoys building strong relationships with his patients and their families, which allows him to provide the best visual care possible. Dr. Dakin also feels that optometry is a constantly evolving field that challenges him to keep learning new methods of treating and managing ocular disease.
