About Dr. Cameron Bargell
Cameron Bargell, O.D. completed his undergraduate degree at Hastings College, earning a bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. He then attended Indiana University, where he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2021. Dr. Bargell enjoys treating patients of all ages who present a variety of eye conditions. Every patient visit is unique and brings new and exciting challenges each day.
Since becoming an optometrist, his areas of special interest have included contact lenses and myopia control. Dr. Bargell began wearing contact lenses at a young age and remembers struggling with proper contact lens hygiene. After being treated by an optometrist for corneal ulcers, his personal experience reinforced his growing passion for the eyecare profession.
Outside the office, Dr. Bargell enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends, as well as playing golf, watching Husker football, and traveling.

My experience with Malbar Vision was excellent - the staff is friendly and attentive as well as inclusive and welcoming. At my appointment I notified the waitstaff that I use a name that differs from my legal name, which they made a note of in my file and asked me for my pronouns so that they could make me comfortable during my appointment. The doctor was kind and explained all my different options and what my insurance company would cover. My appointment was quick but did not feel rushed. I will definitely be going back next year for my eye exam.

I really enjoyed my experience with Dr. Bargell and his team! Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable. As someone who has gone to the same eye doctor for the past 20 years, I was very hesitant about my appointment but I was met with smiling faces and being seen early! My expectations were succeeded during my appointment and I look forward to seeing Dr. Bargell again during my yearly appointment. He has excellent bedside manner, is extremely friendly, and answered all of my questions without making me feel rushed during our appointment. I highly recommend him! He is so easy to talk to! Changing providers can be nerve-racking, but you can’t go wrong with Dr. Bargell and his team! He is definitely worth the ZocDoc hype!

My entire experience was very pleasant from beginning to end. I was welcomed immediately. Both of the men at the desk were occupied, but they still acknowledged me in a friendly way. The woman who fits patients with glasses checked me in and let me know they would be right with me. Everyone explained things very well and responded to my questions and concerns. The doctor is an awesome communicator, and he remembered me even though I have only seen him a few times over the last few years. He answered all of my questions and talked through all of my test results and showed me the images of my eyes. There was zero pressure to buy more expensive glasses than I needed. Dr. Bargell is a doctor I can trust with my eye health as I’m getting older. I love this clinic!

The first person who helped me was very friendly and made me feel welcome, I got to look at frames while I waited, maybe 5minutes. The next person who helped me with the preliminary procedures (air puff, retinal pics etc) explained things understandably when I had questions. I don't remember his name I'm sorry. The doctor was friendly and professional and also explained things well. The gentleman who helped me pick out frames was super nice (James Hurst). Other than the prescription being very expensive it was a pleasant experience. This is an insurance issue I'm sure. I got cheap glasses online last year and they were good but I think it's worth it to have personal assistance in deciding what type of lenses, frames, etc. I have been going to this location for years and will continue to go there.
