Catherine Furey, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist who joined SightMD in November 2021. She earned her undergraduate degree from Middlebury College, graduating Magna Cum Laude with Highest Honors and was elected Phi Beta Kappa. She then received her medical degree from The University of Tennessee, College of Medicine. She completed a Preliminary Medicine Internship at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare and an ophthalmology residency at New York Medical College. After residency, she completed a Cornea Fellowship at Corneal Associates of New Jersey. Dr. Furey is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with a special interest in cataract surgery, including premium lens implants, as well as corneal and external diseases of the eye.

Great area, however the overall experience is negatively impacted by excessive wait times. 3.5 hours in total. The schedule appears consistently overbooked, and the small waiting area becomes overcrowded very quickly.

I could not see a doctor and needed to leave after waiting an hour past my appointment time. When I walked in, which was already my appointment time, the staff told me there were four people ahead of me. Then after an hour waiting past my appointment time, there were still two more ahead of me, and they could not give me any estimate time of additional waiting so I needed to leave. Totally disappointed and not planning to go back.
