“I had a great and easy experience at this eye doctor - multiple people helped me kindly and efficiently. Had a full eye check up and also got my first pair of prescription glasses easily, and they looked at the sunglasses I brought with me as well free of charge to diagnose how they were broken. Great experience and would recommend! ”

The girls at the front desk were so nice, and it was less than a 10 minute wait until I saw Dr. Chu. I've been suffering from migraines and wanted to make sure my eyes were okay. She was thorough in her exam and took the time to explain everything, ensuring I didn't walk out of there with any questions. She also wasn't pushy about me needing to buy glasses from LensCrafters and said the drugstore readers I was using were fine - but I did anyway, mostly because I felt so comfortable and in good hands. Highly recommend going here; the walk from Grand Central is only about 5-10 minutes.

Incredibly amicable and helpful, Dr. Chu made sure to lay out all options available to me and explain her analysis of my scans thoroughly. Her recommendations were sincerely well-intended so that my eyes can be as healthy as possible in the long run - with little economical impact. She's truly someone who wants the best for her patients. After years of looking for a primary OD, happy to have finally found one!

First visit for eye exam and new prescription was not bad, assistant and Dr Chu were both nice and friendly. They both recommended me to do the dilation exam so I scheduled a 2nd visit. The 2nd visit for dilation experience is not happy at all. First I was told after the eye drops I need to wait like 15-20mins to have the effect and followed by a quick check by the dc so the total process is about 30mins. But I ended up waiting 1hr 15mins and followed by a 2mins check by the dc. The feedback I got from her is just things look good. It seems like they don't really care and not very professional, just want to go through the process so they can bill your insurance company. While I was waiting I told the assistant I have been waited almost an hour...she told me dr Chu usually has people waited like 1hour for best result,. If that's true why not telling me at first. Dr Chu kept taking other clients who came after me and took longer to check. It seems like due to dilation they have a good reason to let me wait. Overall it probably ok for a simple eye exam or prescription but I won't recommend for dilation or more advanced check or coming back again...from all the previous reviews I agree dr Chu and the assistant are nice people and sweet which is a plus but I think professional and efficient process should come first!
