About Dr. Daniel Brooksbank

Dr. Brooksbank graduated from Rowan University with a Bachelors of Science degree in 1993. He furthered his education at Pennsylvania College of Optometry where he earned a Bachelors in Visual Science in 1995 and his Doctorate in Optometry in 1997. Dr. Brooksbank has been a practicing physician since January 1998. His practice has grown over the years to include a wide variety of pediatric and geriatric patients. He has a therapeutic and oral medications license which enables him to diagnose and treat numerous ocular emergencies and diseases. Dr. Brooksbank has a strong background in refractive conditions of the eye for which he prescribes glasses and contact lenses. He performs many specialty contact lens fittings for patients with irregular corneas and is well versed in refractive surgery options. In addition, he practices behavioral and developmental Optometry for patients with learning and visual processing disorders and provides Vision Therapy for those who may not be corrected with glasses alone. Furthermore, he provides Low Vision treatment options for patients with vision loss due to ocular diseases such as Glaucoma and Macular Degeneration Dr. Brooksbank is a proud member of both the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians and American Optometric Association and is an active member in his local Monmouth/Ocean County Chapters. He is also a member of both the Contact Lens and Cornea Section and Low Vision Rehabilitation Section of the American Optometric Association. Dr. Brooksbank is an active member as a Firefighter in the Island Heights Volunteer Fire Company and lives locally in the Toms River area with his wife and three children.
