About Dr. Edward Powers
Dr. Edward Powers grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and received his undergraduate degree in biology from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. He completed his residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. In addition to private practice, he serves as a hospitalist at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center Dallas and as a Clerkship Director for the Texas A&M School of Medicine. He is passionate about obstetrics and gynecology because of the unique privilege to provide care during the important time of pregnancy and childbirth, as well as the opportunity to form long-lasting relationships with patients. Dr. Powers believes in taking time with patients to address all their needs while providing empathic and individualized care. He is skilled and proficient in both low and high-risk pregnancy, management of common gynecological issues, and minimally invasive and robotic surgery. Outside of medicine he likes to spend time with his fiancé and their two dogs, Russell & Rosie. He also likes to read about history, travel and cook.

Came in to see Dr. Powers for a problem visit as a new patient. He and his staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming! Even before my appointment I had questions and the office staff was very helpful. Dr. Powers listened to all of my concerns and offered many different options on my care. I booked because he had really great reviews and he did not disappoint! Also my first time with a male gynecologist and any fears I had were immediately gone. Cannot recommend Dr. Powers enough!!
