I called my mom to tell her about the service to schedule her an appointment with my sons so she could experience the excellent service. You can tell when some enjoys what they do and these ladies truly enjoy what they do. I can not say enough about this office!”

About Dr. Emma Thompson
Emma Thompson, O.D. is a three-time graduate of The Ohio State University, where she earned her Doctor of Optometry, Master of Science in Vision Science, and Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. She completed her bachelor's degree in 2017 and both her Doctor of Optometry and Master of Science degrees in 2021.
Dr. Thompson grew up in Cleveland, OH, and recently relocated to the Pittsburgh area from Columbus, OH. During optometry school, she served as class president and earned her second degree through the combined OD/MS program, completing a research project studying the relationship between eye structure and visual perception. She has received the Ohio "Excellence in Advanced Practice Award" and the "James A. Bing Memorial Award" for her contributions in both private practice and research settings.
When not at work, Dr. Thompson enjoys painting, hiking at Frick Park with her dog, and exploring Pittsburgh's vibrant restaurant scene.

Because of the problem with my right eye it was very important to see the right Specialist because my Specialist I was seeing was not available. Dr Emma Thompson was very knowlegable in addressing my condition. Maggie who fitted me with my perscription was also very knowlegable and very easy to work with and has a very bubbly personality. Very satisfied!
