Dr. Eric Dessner is a board-certified ophthalmologist. He performs no-stitch, small incision cataract surgery, pterygium excision with graft, extraocular muscle surgery for the correction of strabismus in children and adults, as well as glaucoma laser surgery.
After completing his residency at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in New York, he trained at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, which has been named best eye hospital in the US in 2010, by US News and World Report for the seventh consecutive year.
Dr. Dessner maintains a strong interest in international ophthalmology and surgical expeditionary work. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, writing, running and cycling.
