“I absolutely dread going to the gynecologist and put off care for years so it takes a lot for me to say anything positive but here we are. Dr. Arceneaux is so kind, caring and easy to talk to. She listened to my concerns and made me feel as comfortable as someone can feel in that type of appointment. I felt listened to without judgement. I’ve always felt like I was crazy or over dramatic about my pain but I was actually listened to today and not dismissed. I don’t think anyone will ever look forward to these appointments but I definitely won’t have the absolute dread I’ve had before. Also big plus the foot holders are heated.”

About Dr. Erika Arceneaux
Dr. Arceneaux was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She earned her bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She then received her Doctor of Medicine from Louisiana State University in New Orleans, where she also completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Arceneaux joined PIWH in September 2022. Her clinical interests in general obstetrics and gynecology include preventative healthcare, minimally invasive surgery, and contraception-focusing on giving her patients the information they need to make decisions that are right for themselves.
Dr. Arceneaux and her husband are looking forward to exploring Colorado and its many outdoor activities. She enjoys hiking, birdwatching, as well as discovering new breweries and restaurants.

It's been many years since my last gyn appointment, and I had a good experience with Dr. Erika Arceneaux's office. The wait time was short, and the staff were welcoming a efficient. Dr. Arceneaux was fabulous! She spent time with me and was a great listener and communicator. I did not feel rushed at all and I look forward to going back to see her.
The office was nice, clean and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The only criticism I have is that the MA that helped me with my vitals, etc. was very unfriendly and did not make me feel welcome or comfortable.

Dr. Arcenaux is super friendly and takes the time to explain what’s going on without talking to you like you’re stupid which is HUGE. The lady who did my labs was also extremely kind and accommodating; she allowed me to lay down during my blood draw and brought me an apple juice due to my history of fainting. The only downsides to the appointment were that the nurse who took me back came off as kind of rude, and she tried to force me into changing the nature of my appointment even though I explicitly stated that I wanted to schedule a separate follow up to address my specific concern. Additionally, my appointment was for 10:15 and I wasn’t seen until around 11:10. Either way, Dr. Arcenaux made all the difference. SHE is the reason that I’m rating this office so highly despite the negatives I listed above.

Dr. Arceneaux was wonderful. This was the best ob/gyn appointment I have ever had. She was completely trauma informed with the pelvic exam, asking for consent and informing me of exactly what she was doing with each step. She answered all of my questions, was a great listener, and was completely non-judgmental. I talked to her about getting tubal ligation as a child free person, she was completely on board with it. She was also really well versed in the costs of different birth control options,, which was really pleasantly surprising to me. I am so glad that I found her.

I felt like she didn’t listen to my actual concerns and was trying to treat things that weren’t bothering me. I brought up my weight gain three times and she never addressed it. She also said I should just go to therapy for my perimenopausal mood swings. I felt unheard and like she just wanted the appointment to be over.

The office is so annoying. I got texts, voicemails and emails multiple times a day for a week before my appointment. The building is old and janky and we got stuck in an elevator for 10 minutes causing me to miss my appointment. They were not understanding of this and turned me away at the door. Awful, annoying and rude.
