Dr. Haq graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine. He served an internship at HealthAlliance Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, and completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He was elected chief resident by the faculty and also served as assistant professor of ophthalmology for two years. Dr. Haq completed a fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai in New York.
Dr. Haq is a surgical staff member of the Key-Whitman Eye Center and Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the Dallas Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Texas Medical Association. Dr. Haq is diligent in staying current with the newest medications and techniques to provide his patients with the best possible care. His research studies have been published on numerous occasions, and he has been a speaker at national ophthalmic conferences and symposiums.
Dr. Haq is experienced in all areas of ophthalmology and specializes in the treatment and surgery of corneal disease. His surgical expertise includes cataract and refractive surgery, including LASIK, using Wavefront custom treatment and IntraLase® for the correction of nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Dr. Haq is particularly interested in newer intraocular lenses, including Crystalens® and ReSTOR®. Made an appointment because I had a specific concern I wanted to discuss with an ophthalmologist. The office didn’t use any of the information I submitted in advance, required 8 pages of additional forms, and then provided a routine optometry appointment with a completely different doctor (without telling me in advance). Nice people, but this practice should not be on Zocdoc.

Context: I booked this appointment for my father to exam some pain in the eyes.
Arrival: Staff was courteous and helpful. Wait time was efficient.
Doctor: Doctor was confused about the condition of my father and hadn't reviewed the complaint prior to meeting with us. He didn't seem knowledgeable and was dismissive of our concerns.

waited a long time in waiting room and another 30 min in exam room. finally went to go find someone and found dr, haq in an office across the hall on the computer. felt like I had been completely forgotton. as for bedside manner, he made me feel little to no hope for managing my eyesight. I am far-sighted with astygmia, I asked if there were any exercises I could do to strengthen my eye muscles, he said he didn't believe in that and my eyesight would only continue to deteriorate. I was so discouraged that I haven't tried to see another eye doctor since. i'm finally over that experience and am looking for another doctor. sorry I let him get to me that way.
