Dr. Frederick M. DeTorres brings more than 30 years of experience in Allergy & Immunology and Internal Medicine to Michigan ENT & Allergy Specialists, where he provides comprehensive, compassionate care to patients of all ages throughout West Michigan. He joins the practice after more than two decades as physician and owner of Shoreline Allergy, P.C. in Norton Shores, Michigan, and most recently practiced with Westshore ENT & Allergy. Dr. DeTorres focuses his practice on the diagnosis and management of asthma and other respiratory allergic conditions, along with the full range of allergic and immunologic disorders — from environmental and food allergies to chronic sinus issues, urticaria, and angioedema. Board-certified in both Allergy & Immunology and Internal Medicine, he draws on decades of clinical experience to build individualized treatment plans that help patients breathe easier and manage their symptoms for the long term. Dr. DeTorres earned his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan, and went on to complete a fellowship in Allergy & Immunology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. He is a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, and the American College of Physicians, Michigan Chapter, and has taught allergy/immunology and internal medicine to resident physicians throughout his career. Dr. DeTorres welcomes new and returning patients to Michigan ENT & Allergy Specialists and looks forward to helping them find lasting relief from their allergy, asthma, and immunologic conditions.
