“Wow I was very pleasantly surprised by this office. I booked via Zocdoc in the middle of the night when I was having an eye issue, and thought who knows, I’ll just try this since they had an open immediate appointment. But wow, this will definitely be my ophthalmologist office going forward and I’m going to recommend to friends as well! The front desk staff was SO NiCE, and when does that happen anymore?? The intake nurses were also incredibly nice. The office was clean and modern. And to top of off the doctor himself was amazing! Everyone seems happy at this office. And it comes from the top down. 5 stars for sure. Yay!”

About Dr. Gerald J. Shepps

Ophthalmologist:
Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Shepps holds a Bachelor's degree from Clemson University and earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of South Carolina. He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at New York Medical College and the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. Dr. Shepps pursued fellowship training in Glaucoma and Anterior Segment at Harvard University's Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.
Dr. Shepps was Director of the Glaucoma Institute at SUNY School of Optometry for 11 years and taught residents at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, St. Vincent's Medical Center, New York University Medical Center, and Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. Laser procedures, anterior segment surgery, and ocular trauma are other areas of his specialization. He is a past Director of Glaucoma Services at NYU/NYDH.
He remains active in clinical and basic science research focused on the cause and treatment of glaucoma.

Associate Ophthalmologists has served the Wall Street community for over 40 years. Our offices at 150 Broadway and 305 East 40th Street provide comprehensive medical and surgical eye care. We specialize in refractive surgery, including LASIK, PRK, LASAK, refractive lens exchanges, glaucoma, glaucoma surgery, and cataracts.
We offer complete contact lens services including hard, soft, daily, disposable, cosmetic, bifocal, multifocal, and specialty lenses.
New patients are welcome. Same-day appointments are available for emergencies.
OPTICAL DISPENSARY (150 BROADWAY LOCATION ONLY)
Our onsite optical dispensary is staffed by a licensed optician and offers a full line of fashion eyewear, sunglasses, sport goggles, and low vision aids at varied prices. Local home and office fittings are available by appointment. Many optical plans are accepted.
