Dr. Gina Coldren, DO

Primary Care Doctor
19485 Old Jetton Rd, Ste 100, Cornelius, NC
Medicine felt like the career with the best of both worlds for me, as I have always enjoyed science and connecting with people. Family Medicine allows doctors to see a wide variety of patients and conditions, which I love. It also offers the potential to care for a patient over the course of their lifetime. The connection and trust built over this time is very meaningful because I'm learning who the patient is as a person in addition to their health. My training as a DO (doctor of osteopathic medicine) included osteopathic manipulative treatment, so I'm often able to assist patients with joint and muscle pain. I can also perform minor procedures in my office. Family Medicine allows me to introduce lifestyle medicine to patients who aren't already familiar with it. I keep up with the latest advancements in this growing field in order to guide patients regarding nutrition, physical activity, and stress management. My approach to healthcare is collaborative and factors in a patient's lifestyle, health history and goals. I strive to base my practice on honesty, consistency and compassion. That begins with listening closely and ensuring I've understood a patient's concerns. I want patients to leave each visit with all their questions answered and a feeling of confidence that they understand their condition and treatment plan. I work with patients to set attainable health goals and choose methods that they can readily incorporate into their daily routines. I view health holistically and make decisions and recommendations based on what will benefit a patient's overall health. I grew up on a beautiful farm in southwestern Pennsylvania and have a large extended family. Today, I live in Cornelius with my boyfriend and our dog, Ember. When I have down time, you'll usually find me with my nose in a book.
