The appointment was for my son, who is six years old. My mother brought him so I am communicating her feedback. They had to wait a long time and there was nothing in the waiting room for kids to do or play with -- no book, no toys or games, etc. The TV was on with an adult show. When my mom asked if it was possible to put on something for kids (only kids were waiting) the staff said they did not know how to change the channel. The doctor himself was good in terms of being knowledgeable and communicating his diagnosis and suggestions in a clear way, but we were looking for a more kid-friendly practice and doctor who has a more kid-centric approach/manner.
Extremely knowledgeable and kind.
Great location, doctor, staff and office. I caught them on a bad day- computers were down, none of the forms I filled online transferred :( I was seen at 10:20 for a 9:15 appointment. Couple regular patients went in ahead of me. Ah well!
It was great, he answered my concerns and gave me some options.
The receptionists are pleasant. David and Dr.Wisnicki are friendly, professional and on point. I had a wonderful and informative visit. Thank you!
this doctor is the best eye doctor in the city. i strongly recommend visiting his clinic super expert
When I finally got too see the doctor he wasn't very greetable and he rush pretty much I guess he had to leave after 1 I'm assuming because my appointment was suppose to had been 1:15 pm and I got a call around 10:20 am today if I would like to reschedule my time to 11:15 am because the doctor was leaving early it was a horrible experience I would not recommend anyone to come here. He said it was nothing he can do for me so I will get a second opinion. Because I felt he rushed and I felt uncomfortable with him he was very nice to other patients and when it got too me he was just flat and disappointed he just look If like he was ready to go honestly. But I won't come back ever I didn't feel welcome at all
I saw someone for one type of eye exam within 10 minutes of my arrival, had my eyes dilated, then saw Dr. Wisnicki about an hour and 20 minutes after I arrived for about 10 minutes. The first exam was a bit confusing and caused me to see double a few times, and I had not had that experience before. Dr. Wisnicki answered all my questions and was as usual very pleasant.
Great. Very thorough.
I am only 13 years old but l have been with Dr. Wisnicki for a few years now. I like the fact that he is friendly and takes his time to make sure everything is alright!
Very professional and respectful. I highly recommend this eye doctor office.
Let's just get this out of the way: Yes, the wait is insane. Truly bonkers. But for me, a person who has struggled with strabismus my entire life, I'd probably wait twice as long to get my vision corrected. And that's what Dr. Wisnicki did for me. He performed surgery on my left (esotropic) eye and by the time I woke up from surgery I could already tell my vision was different. It is a relief to drive, watch TV, hold conversations, and have my photo taken without worrying about my eye (or working to try to achieve monocular vision). Thanks so much, doc.
Visit was fine. There has been some confusion with the insurance though
I loved the personnel working there, everybody is very polite and nice.
Dr. Wisnicki fixed me! I was walking around feeling dizzy all the time, until he figured out that I had hypertropia in my left eye. Dr. Wisnicki corrected the problem surgically with a perfect result. It took about 3 months to fully feel the difference and adjust after surgery. Strabismus is gone now and I can walk down the avenues without having to shut one eye, I can drive long distances again and watch movies without strain. I am glad I opted for the surgery after diagnosis. For a while I had prism lenses and those just mess with your brain, especially, if hypertropia is diagnosed later in life. I was in my late 40ies at the time.
Always friendly and professional. Always feel like I'm in very good hands.
Excellent thorough doctor; friendly efficient staff. Great experiment overall. Highly recommend.
Appointment was 2:45. I still was not seen at 4:00 and there were two patients ahead of me. This is always the case at this office whether you are the first appointment or scheduled in the middle of the day. I will never return.
Can't say enough about this amazing human being. We have seen Dr. wisnicki since the early 90's, moved out of state for ten years and back. There's just no comparison. His professionalism and bedside manner is of excellence. I'm just glad to be able to have this doctor again in our family. Absolutely the best according to my adult kid, teenager, and the rest of us.
He's the best!
Very professional doctor!
He's always friendly, personable and funny.
He moved quickly but still made you feel welcomed. He provided a great deal of information and answered all of my questions. Threw in a little humor which is always nice.
Very Professional Kind Doctor. I strongly recommend
Dr. Wisnicki is great and his colleagues are also great. The wait continues to be unacceptable. If there becomes one reason why I would stop seeing Dr. Wisnicki is because, I cannot block out sufficient time given the wait that always takes place.
Long wait, but worth it.
Seems like a good doctor.
Dr. Wisnicki is a straight-forward, funny doctor, and is thorough with his diagnosis and treatment. My biggest complaint is the wait time. I've visited him three times, and all three times, the wait has been more than one hour.
His assistant, Mac, was a consumate professional. He really knows his stuff.
The wait time was incredibly long, but the doctors were very straightforward and helpful.
just a lovely doctor - through and copassionate
Like my previous visits
For the amount of time I spent at the office 2 1/4 hours you would think that more than 5 mins would have been spent with doctor. The entire experience put me in a foul mood.
He is still compassionate concerned about you his patient. He looks marvelous, and I am so happy he is my doctor.
A Long waiting time, but great service!
Waiting time of two hours with a 7 years old was not pleasant. We felt rused by the doctor. The whole experience was not so nice.
the doctor was good - but his reception staff was not knowledgable about how to charge a patient
I'm very glad to have my eye problem on the way to being resolved
Fantastic doctor Worth the wait
The waiting time was not the usual but as always very professional.
Dr. Wisnicki has been seeing my son since he was 2 weeks old. Love him! Will continue to travel to the city so that my son gets to see the best doctor ever!
The office runs efficiently and the staff is friendly and informative. Several people see you before you see the Dr. , but they are support staff who do preliminary exams.
Waiting time was a little long but had something to do with all school kids coming in that day. Dr. was great.
He was great and his assistant was also lovely but the wait time was pretty outrageous. That would be the only reservation I would have about recommending him to someone else. With a 1.5 and 3.5 yo, the waiting was pretty miserable.
We've seen this doctor several times and he's fine but every time the wait is bad and it's gotten ridiculous. my daughter does not want to go back because of this.
Very nice doctor. Listens and explains. Only problem was a long wait time.
EXCELLENT PHYSICIAN. KIND , PATIENT AND CLEAR IN HIS EXPLANATION OF MY PROBLEM. I WILL DEFINATELY FOLLOW UP WITH HIM IN SIX MONTHS. COMING FROM ONE OPHTHALMOLOGIST TO ANOTHER.
The actual visit with the MD was fine, but it took forever to get in to see him. And that was a big issue for me since the patient was my 7 month old daughter. Her appointment was at 1:45pm and she didn't see the doc until about 3:20pm. And I wasn't warned that it was going to be that long...I had to ask if the doc was running on time and was then told no. A bit extreme.
Excellent in all respects.
HE IS VERY PROFESSIONAL BUT WARM AT THE SAME TIME.
Great staff, very professional and everyone was very knowledgeable
excellent care and patient service
Excellent doctor in high demand, sometimes good things take time.
excellent pro doc. worth waiting
He was condescending; called me by my first name and introduced himself as "Dr. Wisnicki" although I am a) considerably older than he is, b) the wife of a doctor, and c) undoubtedly better educated than he is or will be. He prescribed bifocals without asking me if that was what I wanted, and never used the term "bifocals". He spent as little time with me as possible. I had a 1:00 PM appointment and he called me into his office at 1:50 PM, with no apologies for being late. He is undoubtedly dealing with a lower class, uneducated local constituency, judging from your waiting room population, and was totally insensitive to who he was dealing with. I would never use him again.
Very pleased and would recommend this doctor and the practice.
It's a very busy office, for a first visit I would set aside 2 hours minimum.
Efficient, pleasant service from the moment you enter office until the moment you leave. Highly recommend.
He seemed just a little abrupt, but might have been just a bit busy.
Dr. Wisnicki (a.k.a., the Wizard of Eyes) performed my strabismus surgery. He is a wonderful doctor, knowledgeable, skilled, and caring. His staff--particularly surgical coordinator Ema--are wonderful persons with terrific dispositions, who understand that eye surgery, by its very nature, induces anxiety in patients. They do everything in their power to alleviate that anxiety, and are consummate professionals. I could not be more pleased with this office, and with every experience I have had with this provider.
Highly experienced physician who really knows his stuff! Dr. Wisnicki is truly an expert in his field. He doesn't need to spend so much time with you because he is a pro at what he does. On the spot diagnoses and he is SO accurate! He got to the root of my issue right away while other doctors continuously had me coming back. Very honest doctor who is courteous and modest with his patients. He thoroughly answered all my questions and had me feeling much better in no time. Highly recommended. He is great all around.
Very efficient prep work by technicians. A bit too long before getting in to see the doctor. However, he was pretty clear, straight talking and responsive to Q's
He was thorough, knew his stuff and very easy to talk to. I went in with a swollen eye and he determined it was allergies and referred me to an allergist - I highly recommend this doctor!
He was excellent with our child. Funny, engaging, professional and fast. Totally captured my child's attention, not always an easy feat.
The wait was too long and the visit was rushed through and not very thorough. There are too many people waiting and this has been the same since the office opened. As a long time patient, I found the entire experience was unsatisfactory and I did not feel very confident after the visit that I was given the care that I should have. The only part of the process that was efficient was the collection of the payment!!
Great doc, friendly. Especially worthwhile if you have strabisimus as that is his specialty.
great doctor only complaint is that you wait forever in the waiting room. By the time my kids finally get to see him they are wild. But we love him anyway and would recommend him to all.
Always has a welcoming smile. He has been my son's doctor for 6 yrs.
this was my first visit and it went fine, the wait was not very long. dr. wisnicki was pleasant and i would reccomend him to other people. the office was nice and clean.
Great as always!
He addresses each patient's issue with the same amount of attention and urgency. Very professional and compassionate.
Great doctor. Superb understanding of underlying condition. Explains details in simple English.
The office is great. Clean, organized. The front desk staff were nice and attentive. Fast check-in process. The only downfall is the wait time between getting your eye stats checked and seeing the actual eye doctor. We waited about 40 minutes to only be seen for about 5. Other than that it was a good experience.
The wait time was absolutely horrific. I was so frustrated, irritated and annoyed beyond belief.
The office was very accomodating. Even though we arrived a half hour late for the appointment, they were still able to see my son.
Our visit with Dr. Wisnicki went really well. He is great with kids.
i would say he's an good eye Dr. and you should see him if you have bad vison
office is nice
very rude front desk staff, and after waiting an hour they told me that 6 more patients were before me>>>>>>>
Perfect experience. Lovely office, lots of attention and excellent care.
He is very knowledge, patient, and kind. He has a wonderful disposition and is excellent with children.
This was my first visit with Dr. Wisnicki and I will definitely return. He was friendly, thorough and courteous, and even joked around a little bit (I happen to believe a sense of humor in doctor's is important - it helps to alleviate any medical concern you might have). Other than the somewhat long wait before the appointment, this visit deserves an A+.
Dr. Wisnicki was fabulous. He took the time to listen to me, diagnose me and explain the timetable for recovery. Great with patients and genuinely cares. I've found my NYC eye doctor!
The experience from securing the appt on zocdoc until the end was top notch. His office is extremely high tech so the front desk is connected to the assistant who is connected to the Dr. I needed a prescription which Dr. Wisnicki was able to do right away without having to hand me a paper prescription. I love how he utilized the latest and greatest technology. He was able to tell what was wrong quickly and treated me with care. He wasn't rushing me either. It was just a great experience over all.
The best Doctor I ever seen by now!!!
I saw Dr. Wisnicki for an adult strabismus surgical consultation. Dr. Wisnicki is an excellent doctor and surgeon based on his reputation and my short visit with him. The office is brand new and huge; however I feel the practice might be too big for my liking. The optometrist(?) who I saw before seeing Dr. Wisnicki gave me a feeling that she was very rushed and pressed to see a lot of patients in a short amount of time. (There were a lot of patients in the waiting room, even though my wait wasn't long. I think there are a lot of other doctors in the practice as well.) As a result, she didn't pick up that I had a change in prescription (which I found out about when I went to another place). When I got to see Dr. Wisnicki, he was personable and I got the feeling he would be competent surgeon, but I didn't go with him at the end because the optometrist does the basic eye exam, including the eye measurements for surgery, and I didn't really trust her. I'm pretty sure Dr. Wisnicki would re-confirm the measurements himself if I agreed to do the surgery though.
HE IS GOOD SO FAR.
A great surgeon.
It is always great to see Dr. Wisnicki. He is great.
I took my son to see him, and Dr. Wisnicki was excellent with him. He made my little one feel at ease. I would highly recommend him for anyone looking to see a pediatric ophthalmologist.
He's 5 stars. There was a long wait time. But he did apologize, and I don't think waiting so long is the norm for him.
Fabulous, highly skilled medical professional. I have utmost confidence in him. Great interpersonal skills as well
The first question Dr. Wisnicki asked was if I was a new patient, and when I said "yes" he welcomed me and made me feel at home right away. My regret is that I'll only see him once a year, but it feels good to know that my diabetes has not gravely affected my eyesight and I do not require surgery for my cataract.
I felt that my meeting and examination initially with the optometrist (which took about 30 minutes and I believe was with Dr. Bellante) was, by far, much more thorough than my examination by Dr. Wisnicki. The office is very comfortable, inviting and the waiting time was under 10 minutes. Although I feel I received a thorough examination by the optometrist, I wish I could say the same for Dr. Wisnicki. The total time I spent with Dr. Wisnicki was under 5 minutes. This frustrates me as my appointment was with him and not anyone else. Although I am extremely pleased with my exam from the optometrist, I was seeking Dr. Wisnicki's expertise and experience.
Doc is OK but very impersonal...Waited for OVER an hour to spend 5 minutes with the doctor..
I go to see Dr. W every year to check up on my peepers. I trust him to monitor my eyesight.
Great visit he was very attentive and thorugh
Very good doc. However making appt through zocdoc caused delays. It made her a new patient when she isnt.
Nice n professional n knowledgeable
Dr. Wisnicki is always thorough, charming, and funny.
He had my records from previous visits on computer so he was able to see my patient history, which is always a plus. He was thorough and open to questions. I did not feel rushed. I was also impressed with all of the state of the art equipment, which made the examination go quickly.
Dr. Wisnicki was curt and a poor listener. I left his exam room feeling that I gained nothing from my visit. Dr. Suzanne Bellante on the other hand was excellent. She was knowledgeable and kind and I will be returning as her patient.
too long waiting time
Very professional and very knowledgeable
We waited for a while before being seen but once inside the dr was great
He came across as very knowledgeable. He was also very friendly and took the time to explain things to me in layman terms.
FRIENDLY, KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND COURTEOUS.
Quick efficient eye exam.
Less wait time.
Dr.Wisnicki was really nice and helpful. he made me feel more than comfortable. if not for the the long wait...
Excellent physician and a really great guy. Have seen him for years, always the same excellence in care and service.
RUSHED, IMPERSONAL AND WOULD NEVER GO BACK.
it was great. Always professional and knows his stuff. Beautiful offices, spread out, clean. Just great all around.
Dr. Wisnicki is in a new office, which is much quieter and less busy than the last. I was taken on time and seen by another doctor first, but then had to wait about a half hour. Not so great. Dr. Wisnicki is very straightforward but very pleasant. I have no complaints about the care he has provided.
Knowledgable excellent communicator for my son and me.
Dr. Wisnicki was very professional, quick and concise.
Thank you, Very Professorial.
Dr. Wisnicki was very attentive and adept during our visit. He was patient with our 14-month old and made us all feel at ease. We did not have to wait at all to be seen.
