“From the moment I walked into the office, I was greeted by friendly staff. I didn't wait more than 15 minutes for my appointment despite the office being busy. Dr. Wisnicki was friendly and most importantly, quick to remove the tiny object in my eye that was causing a lot of problems. Fortunately, I didn't need any follow up care but he told me that if the problem persists, to return in 2 days. I didn't have to return because he fixed my eye at that first appointment! ??”

About Dr. Herbert Wisnicki
Jay Wisnicki, MD, FAAO, FACS, FAAP, FNYAM, grew up in New York and studied computers and electrical engineering in college before pursuing medicine. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University, completed his internship at Boston University, Framingham Union Hospital, and finished his residency in Ophthalmology at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Wisnicki further specialized with a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus at Johns Hopkins University's Wilmer Ophthalmological Institute. He is a world-renowned strabismus surgeon, well published, and lectures nationally and internationally. Formerly Chairman of the Beth Israel Ophthalmology Department, he continues to serve as a clinical professor of Ophthalmology and Pediatrics at Mt. Sinai. Union Square Eye Care reflects Dr. Wisnicki's vision of integrating technology and medicine. Outside of medicine, he is a talented piano player, a fantastic snowboarder, and cherishes every moment of family time with his wife, a college professor, and their twins.
