About Dr. Haylie Mulliniks
Haylie Mulliniks, OD, a Desoto County native, graduated from Union University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. While attending Union, she was the president of Sigma Zeta Honor Society. She also received the Freshman Chemistry Award and was chosen to present her research on silicone polymers at the American Chemical Society meeting.
Dr. Mulliniks received her Doctorate from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. At SCO, she was invited to become a member of Beta Sigma Kappa National Optometric Honor Society. She has been chosen to present posters at several National Optometric meetings across the country. Dr Mulliniks completed her residency in Hospital-Based Primary Care with an emphasis in Ocular Disease at the VA Medical Center in Memphis. After completing her residency, Dr. Mulliniks served as a faculty member at Southern College of Optometry, where she instructed students on diagnosis and management of ocular and vision disorders focusing mainly on primary care. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association as well as the Mississippi Optometric Association.

Toyos Clinic was very disorganized. Booked through Zocdoc for a next day appointment at 430pm. Got called at 311pm the day of my appointment to tell me the appointment time was unavailable.
Made no apologies that their info on Zocdoc wasn’t updated.
Naturally I asked to reschedule but asked for a different office. Woman says she will reach out to that office & see what appointments they had. After a full 5 minute hold she just connects me to that other office. Other office answers like she had no idea what was going on.
Waited 3 weeks for my appt & arrived early. Completed paperwork ahead of time on Zocdoc but Receptionist has no access to this info & has to call someone but finally figured it out. Still waited 35 minutes before I was seen.
Dr was very friendly, had very clear communication & very informative. Told me that her scheduler would call me in about 24 hours to discuss more details. It’s been a week today & I haven’t heard back from them.

This visit went well. Once placed in the final examination room, Dr. Mulliniks quickly came in and address my test results. The only issue was the time in the waiting room. I made my appt for 0830, so I could be in and out and on my way to work. I arrived at 0815 and completed my administrative paperwork before 0830. Then I say in the lobby and waited for 15-20 minutes, after my appointment time, and being the only patient in the office.
