“Went in after getting poison ivy on my face good experience over all, one small issue was the drops they put in my eye, I was told it was safe to drive home but I ended up with extreme eye sensitivity and had difficulty driving home, my pupils remained dilated for almost 8 hours after the drops. Would have appreciated a warning or some sort of eye protection ”

About Dr. Hubert Pham
Hubert H. Pham, MD, MS is a board-certified ophthalmologist with a focus on comprehensive ophthalmology, advanced cataract, and medical retina. His areas of expertise include macular degeneration, retinal vascular diseases, cataracts, and glaucoma.
Dr. Pham’s unique upbringing, as the son of Vietnamese immigrants who lived in Mexico and Zimbabwe, was formative to his desire to pursue a career in medicine. His mission has always been to alleviate suffering locally and internationally, having experienced it so profoundly in his youth.
He attended Cornell University, where he graduated with honors in Biomedical and Environmental Engineering. He went on to pursue his Master of Science in Physiology at Georgetown University. He received his medical doctorate from Georgetown University School of Medicine, where he graduated cum laude. During medical school, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and won numerous awards.
Following medical school, he completed his internship at INOVA Fairfax, where he was awarded the ‘Best Teacher Award’ in Internal Medicine. He continued his ophthalmology training at the Georgetown University Hospital / Washington Hospital Center, where he served as Chief Resident of Education. During that time, he published numerous abstracts and papers, and presented his research nationally and internationally.
After training, he joined one of the largest ophthalmology groups in Seattle, where he led a successful practice and won ‘Top Doctor’ award multiple years in a row. He then continued his career at Kaiser Permanente, where he learned to practice medical retina and treat the spectrum of macular diseases.

1st : I was received by Dr. Pham's professional assistance a young lady vey knowledgeable in what she is practicing and I might add whose politeness and cheerful smiles will make you feel at home and ease your discomfort.
2nd ; when Dr. Pham took over he greeted me with enthusiastic pleasant smile and a firm hand shake in respectful manor.
3rd : He read the findings and information his assistance gathered about my present complains and status, he further more asked me bout my family and personal medical history; medication I haven taking and medication I'm taking at present. He then did examined and did some more tests and explains very things what he did and what more tests he need to do to up with a plan of my treatments. He spend ample time with me and explains more as to what I should do and shouldn't do to prevent further damages.
I'm very pleased and greatly satisfied of Dr. Pham.

I found Dr Pham to be arrogant, cold and impatient. He listened and responded to my concerns very poorly and was oblivious to discomfort caused by the exam itself. Probably the worst bedside manner I've ever encountered.

Dr Pham was great! Very clear, easy to talk to, explained things in detail but also so that a non-dr could understand.
He followed up with a referral and called to make sure i had the right info. I am so happy to have set up an appt with him.

Back to Eye Associates after a try at West Seattle clinic, which was more convenient for me, because of rude & unsatisfactory treatment. Dr. Pham was warm, friendly, reassuring and very thorough in his exam and explanation. I was very happy with my appointment and will be back for follow-up in 2 wks.
