About Dr. Ira Berman

Dr. Ira Berman was born in Leningrad, Russia and grew up in San Francisco, California. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Barnard College in NYC and her Doctorate of Optometry from SUNY State College of Optometry in 2004. After graduation, Dr. Berman relocated to Boca Raton, where she was the leaseholding eye doctor at Sears Optical the Town Center Mall for nine years. Now that the Sears location has closed, she is very excited to have joined her practice with Dr. Maule & Associates, and is happy to welcome her former Sears patients to their new and technologically updated location. Over the past several years Dr. Berman has provided eyecare in Nicaragua, Mexico and China by participating in OneSight, an organization dedicated to providing eyecare for low income populations world-wide. Dr. Berman speaks fluent Russian and Hebrew, and loves to practice her Spanish. Her hobbies include audiobooks, the gym, and spending time with her husband and five children.
