As the daughter of a patient with chronic illness, I grew up going to my mother's frequent doctor appointments. I became more curious about medicine as I learned from her experiences interacting with the healthcare system. I was fortunate to work in a small family medicine practice as a high school student. In that job, I had the honor of assisting with the care of a family whose four generations were patients at this practice. Witnessing these deeply meaningful relationships between doctor and patient was pivotal. I soon decided to pursue a career in family medicine. I am passionate about preventive medicine and patient advocacy. Everyone has the right to quality, holistic medical care. Patient care cannot be reduced to a one-size-fits-all approach. I work with my patients to create a plan that fits their individual needs and lifestyle. My training has equipped me with tools that may improve patient outcomes, including osteopathic manipulative treatment and point-of-care ultrasound. I grew up in southern California but have family scattered throughout the United States. Our family traveled a lot as a result - a hobby I still enjoy. In my free time, my husband and I enjoy hiking in the North Carolina mountains and exploring national parks with our two rescue dogs. I also love crocheting, painting and watching baseball.
